Preparations

Charles made this passarel by using the chop saw on Oak. He cut away opposing pieces so they would fit together to make the framework of the lattice. I finished it in polyurethane. He has made two firmly attached oak pieces with cut outs for the pole on the floor which will go port to starboard. It will be able to swivel as needed. Final upper attachment will be ultimately to a halyard with guy wires to hole it steady. The oak lattice has wheels under neath if needed when in contact with the dock.

Med mooring requires boats to be anchored, then either bow or stern entry to a sea wall in a town with sea wall side ties at port and starboard. Sometimes the town has a messanger line attached to a mooring which will keep the other end tied in place. We plan to med moor bow first so we have privacy in our cockpit. If we went in stern first then anyone walking by the dock and see directly into your cabin.
